Good Morning!

As you can see by the picture it was a cloudy morning and all along my walk there were light sprinkles about and by the time I got home it was raining. I made it home just in time. The temperature was a humid 60 degrees.

I didn't walk any special route today. I walked around the block, up to and around the mill parking lot and then up to the park. I cut across the baseball field and walked around Windemere, around the town homes and rental town homes and made my way back home.

Very quiet around town today. I only saw 1 person walking a dog. Everyone else I saw was getting into cars to go off to school and work.

I walked 6.1 miles and found 1 dime and 2 pennies.

Good Morning and what a good one it is!

A nice cool 52 degrees this morning as I headed out the door wearing long sleeves! The sun came out and it was a gorgeous bright morning.

I walked up to the park and along both paths, over the Pratt Bridge to the turn around circle and back home again.

I left the path and walked down by the river and took this picture.

You can see how dry the river is - water is usually tumbling over these rocks and moving along swiftly.

Walking along the path I saw LOTS of worms which I thought was unusual. After it has been raining a lot they are usually all over the place but I don't remember seeing so many when it's dry.

Quite a lot of people out this morning. I saw Brenda, Kim & Katie, Patty, Linda, Judy and her husband was with her today. I also saw the group of 5 people who run together, 3 other runners, 2 dog walkers and 2 walkers. I learned one of the walkers names - Roger. I had passed him at the beginning of the path and when I stopped to talk to Brenda he caught up with me. As he passed he said to me that I set an incredible walking pace without any effort - that I look like I'm taking a stroll in the park. I told him that's because I've been walking for years. I walked a little way along with him and talked.
On the way home as I got to the path by the school I saw Lorrie walking her two beagles and she had a third dog with her today that she rescued. I forgot what kind of dog it is and will have to look it up but it is gray and looks kind of a like a lab and has short hair that feels like velvet.
When I got back into town I saw Nola talking to Rose the crossing guard and went over to say hi. It was nice to see Rose again now that school has started. Rose's work was done for the morning so she left and Nola walked me home and then she continued on.

I walked 6.4 miles and didn't find any money.

Tuesday Morning

Good Morning! :-)

Lots of clouds when I first started out but by the time I got home the sun was shining brightly.

Temperature was 60 degrees, the same as yesterday but with low humidity and with a cool breeze it felt much cooler.

I walked to the park along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge and walked to the black fence where I turned around and headed back home.

Today I saw 2 deer and a bunny rabbit.

Doug & the dogs were out today - the dogs were soaking wet after going for a swim in the river. I also saw Nickie, Linda, and Judy who I stopped to talk to for a bit. Also along the paths I saw 2 walkers, 5 runners, 2 bike riders, 1 dog walker, and a dog taking a stroll all on her own.

I was walking down the hill coming out of the park and saw Nola and Lin talking and joined them for a chat. They are both good friends and we never run out of things to talk about. I got home a bit late today because we talked for 40 minutes!! :-)

I walked 6.3 miles and found 2 pennies and 1 nickel.

Monday Morning

Good Morning!

Sun and clouds out there with a temperature of 60 degrees. The humidity is back and it was quite warm but I always enjoy my walk no matter what the weather. :-)

I walked to the park and along both paths but just before Pratt Bridge I took the path to the road and walked the road back a ways. When I got to the path by the school I went back along the path to the park and back home.

Lots more traffic out this morning and school buses with this being the first day back to school for the kids around here.

I saw a doe and her baby along one path and the other path I saw those two baby deer on their own again. I also saw a couple of bunny rabbits.

Walking along the road I came across this grape vine going from a tree on one side of the sidewalk crossing over to a tree on the other side.

I saw Doug & the dogs along the path and again when I was walking back along the road. I also saw Ann, Kim & Katie, Linda, Nickie, and 2 walkers, 2 runners, 3 dog walkers, and 1 bike rider.

I walked 6.4 miles and didn't find any money.

Good Morning!

A little warmer this morning with a temperature of 60 degrees. A little fog around by the water but that was soon gone and I walked in sunshine.

It was nice to get back to my walk after missing it yesterday. I walked to the park, along both paths, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home.

I had the paths pretty much to myself which was nice for a change. I didn't see anyone at all until I got up by the school where I saw a dog walker. Didn't see anyone else until I was headed back home and then I saw 1 walker, 1 runner and 1 bike rider. Coming down out of the park I saw Linda.

I saw 4 big deer with antlers but it was too dark yet to take a picture. My smeller was working good today because I actually smelled the deer before I saw them. In two different places I also smelled celery of all things. I also saw a bunny rabbit and a whole bunch of Goldfinches.

I took these two pictures along the way.

I walked 6.3 miles and didn't find any money.

Didn't go on my usual walk this morning because we got up early and drove to Carlisle, Pennyslvania for the Corvette show which they have every August.

I did wear my pedometer while walking around and I walked 5.6 miles while there.

A repeat morning of yesterday - temperature 55 degrees, sunny and no humidity.

Started out going to the post office to drop off a Netflix in the slot inside. Nola was there too and we stopped for a short chat. I wanted to walk along the paths today so didn't walk with her. I walked to the park, along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, walked to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home.

I saw two baby deer down by the water and when they saw me they crossed the water and went up the other side. I didn't see their mom and I'm hoping that I just didn't see her and that she didn't get hit by a car or something.

I saw a bunny rabbit and took a picture of him.

I also saw a bird that was black or dark gray with a distinct white ring around its short neck but I don't know what kind it is. I looked in my bird book and tried on line but couldn't find it.

I saw Beverly in front of her house and her two sisters were picking her up. They were leaving to have a girls day out. I didn't stop to chat but did hear one of them say something about gambling so I'm thinking maybe they are going to Atlantic City. Whatever they do I'm sure they will have fun because whenever I see one of them they are always happy and smiling. I also saw Ann, Kim & Katie, Patty, Linda, and Stephanie. I also saw 2 walkers, 3 runners, 2 dog walkers, and 2 bike riders. For the first time along the path I saw an older couple riding on a bicycle built for two. They passed by me once, when I turned around and walked back I saw them resting on the Pratt Bridge. They passed me again farther down the path and yet again once they got to the end of the path and turned around. We said a few words each time they passed. That song A Bicycle Built for Two popped in my mind and I know I'm going to be singing that song all day. :-)

At the park a man was practicing his tennis swings on his own using one of those automatic tennis ball throwers.

These mornings just keep getting better and better. A cool 55 degrees this morning and lots of sunshine - no clouds in the sky at all.

I walked to and over the Bollman Truss Bridge today and up Gorman Rd to the library and dropped a couple of books off out front in the book drop-off box. Then I continued up the road, over I95 and around the neighborhood up there. Coming back home I walked in and out of a few neighborhoods and back over the bridge, around the block and home. The pictures below aren't of anything special - I just took them along the way as I was walking. The last picture I'm crossing the street coming back to my house.

I didn't see anyone I knew out but I did see 4 runners, 3 dog walkers and 4 walkers.

It's nice to walk along the roads for a change but it does make me glad that I have such a nice place to walk along the river in the woods. Walking along the roads makes me appreciate it even more.

Didn't spot any wildlife out along the road except for the usual birds and squirrels.

I walked 6.2 miles and today's find was 1 penny.

A super morning for a walk. The temperature was 56 degrees and very low humidity, lots of sun and some clouds.

I saw Nola when I first started out and walked around town with her for just a bit. Then I walked over to the mill and then up the park and along the path, went to the 4 way stop and around the circle. Next I went down the hill, around the rental town homes, then back up the hill, turned in at Windermere, cut across the baseball field and was back at the park. Then I walked around the block and back home.

I stopped to talk to Ann at the park and I saw 1 dog walker, 1 bike rider, 2 runners, and 3 walkers.

I walked 6.6 miles and found 2 pennies.

Pretty quiet around town this morning.

Tuesday Morning

The temperature is supposed to go to the high 80's this afternoon but this morning it's still a pleasant 60 degrees and nice for walking. The sun came out and there were a few clouds.

I walked to the park and along the two paths I usually walk, crossed over Pratt Bridge, walked to the black fence and turned around and came back home.

This is a close up of a flower I thought was pretty. I think it is a Rose of Sharon, but this one flower is open wider than usual.

I saw Doug & the dogs and Linda walking. The group of 6 people I see running is now down to 3 people. I also saw 4 other runners, one of which I haven't seen for quite a while. I commented as he passed that I hadn't seen him in a long time. He said he was recovering from an injury and was glad to be back again. I saw 3 other walkers and 4 bike riders.

I walked 6.5 miles and didn't find any money today.

Good Morning!

I had another nice morning for walking. A blue sky, lots of sunshine and a temperature of 58 degrees. It's supposed to get really warm later this afternoon.

I took this sky picture just a little bit down the road from my house.

I saw Nola walking toward my house so I walked up to her and then walked around the block with her.
Last week I knitted a little pair of slippers for Marsha who I mentioned was going to have a baby girl any day now. I walked to her house and hung the gift bag with the slippers in it on her door.

Then I walked up to the park where I saw Tom, one of the guys who works at the park. He called me over to warn me about a man who lives in town. I have mentioned him before as the man who stands on the corner by the light and panhandles but isn't homeless. He has always given me the creeps. Anyway someone called the police because they thought he was living in the woods and that he was homeless. The police knew all about him already and told Tom just to keep his eye on him if he sees him. This man has served 30 years in prison for murder and the police described him as a nut case and just to stay out of his way. I've never seen him on the paths where I walk and stay away from him anyway but it's nice to be warned about him.

On to more pleasant thoughts. I walked along both my paths and when I got to Pratt Bridge I met up with Nickie and walked over the bridge with her. We walked passed the black fence and went to the bridge over Guilford Rd and turned around and headed back. She turned off after the bridge and I walked back along the paths and home.

As I was walking on the path just behind the school I saw this deer peeking out of the woods. I managed to get this picture before she turned around and disappeared back in to the woods.Also out this morning I saw Linda, Brenda, Doug & the dogs, 2 walkers, 1 runner and 4 bike riders.

I walked a little farther than usual because I was walking with Nickie and I kind of forget that I'm walking so far. I walked 7.8 miles and found 1 penny.

Sunday Morning

I was up earlier than usual this morning and out walking at 5:50. It was 56 degrees and the sun wasn't up yet. It came up soon though in a bright blue sky.

I took this picture of the morning moon.

I walked the long way to the post office and dropped off a Netflix inside in the mail slot and then walked up the hill to the 4 way stop and turned right.

Walked along here where just up ahead I walked over Route 32.Then turned down by the town houses and apartments and took this picture of flowers in front of someones house.

Walked back to the 4 way stop, down the hill and around the rental town homes and back home. I enjoyed my nice quiet walk around town.

On the first half of my walk I didn't see anyone out except 2 guys in cars delivering the morning newspapers. The second half was pretty quiet too but I did see a few people out - my neighbor Karen walking her dogs and Ed, the retired mailman working on his car and a couple having their coffee out in their front yard. I also saw 2 people walking dogs and 1 walker.

I walked 6.1 miles and found 1 nickel and 5 pennies.

It was 60 degrees this morning and the sun came up while I was walking. I woke up early this morning so started out a little earlier than usual.

I walked to the park and along both paths, but just before I got to the Pratt Bridge I took the path to the left and walked up to the road. Walked along Clock Tower to Murray Hill and picked up another path that leads through the woods, behind houses and comes out by a shopping center. Kenny was there to pick me up. It's nice to walk one way once in a while and not have to turn around and walk home.

I didn't see anyone I knew out this morning but I saw a group of 5 runners, 2 other runners, 3 walkers, and 3 bike riders.

I saw a lot of deer today!! I saw 3 big ones with antlers in a group along the first path and then up by the school I saw saw a doe with 3 babies. They must be the same ones that I've seen before. Then along the third path I saw 2 deer together and a bit farther saw 2 more and then saw 3 more having breakfast in someones back yard!
I also saw 6 bunny rabbits and a chipmunk.

I liked how these flowers looked with the weeping willow behind it.

It was a little foggy down in this little valley.

I walked 6.1 miles and found 1 dime and 1 penny.

Friday Morning

Good Morning!

Sunrise was at 6:21. Another great morning for walking - I have been so lucky with this weather every morning. Today the temperature was 58 degrees and it was mostly sunny with a few clouds.

I walked to the post office to mail off a Netflix and then continued on up to the park. Walked both paths, crossed over the Pratt Bridge, and went to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home.

I didn't see my deer today but I did see one up the park checking out the baseball field. I saw 2 Gray Catbirds and Goldfinches.

I saw Brenda stretching on the bridge and stopped to talk to her for a little bit and also saw Nicki and since she was going the opposite way stopped for a short chat with her too before continuing on. I also saw 4 walkers, 7 runners, and 3 bike riders.

I walked 6.6 miles and didn't find any money.

Thursday Morning

Back to walking around home today and what a fine walk it was. Nice and cool with a temperature of 58 degrees, lots of sunshine in a bright blue sky. A few clouds thrown in for good measure. A great start to the day.

I walked directly up to the park and along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, walked to the black fence and before I turned around and walked back home I stopped to look at my deer again and take a couple more pictures of her. I'm sure it's the same one I got close to last time. It was in the same place and she acted the same way. We were both standing looking at each other when I saw a runner coming. I tried to tell him about the deer but he just ran right by and scared her off. :-(

On the way back I caught up with Linda and walked a little ways with her. I saw Patty, as well as 4 walkers, 6 runners, 1 dog and 4 bike riders.

Up at the park a few tennis games were going on and the basketball court was getting resurfaced with black top.

I walked 6.4 miles and didn't find any money.

Centennial Park Walk

A great morning for walking again. 58 degrees with some sun and clouds.

A different walk this morning. Kenny took a vacation day off from work and we drove to Centennial Park and walked around the lake there. This is going to be where I will be walking when we move to the new town house. I look forward to exploring all the paths and neighborhoods around the lake. Today we walked from where our town house will be to the lake and around it. Then we continued down the road and walked to the little shopping center and back to the car.

Good Morning!!

Yet another great morning for walking. Temperature 58 degrees, sunny and cool.

Today I made sure I had my pedometer set on the mile mode and headed out up to the park. Walked along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, walked to the black fence and turned around and came back home. I walked a few times up and down the driveway taking out all the yard waste from the weekend work.

I saw a couple of deer in the woods and lots of Goldfinches along the path by the school. They are tiny birds but so pretty.

I saw Linda, Patty, Karen, 8 walkers, 2 runners, 3 dog walkers, and 3 bike riders. At the park a couple of tennis games were in progress.

I didn't find any money and I walked 6.5 miles.

Monday Morning

Perfect weather for walking again this morning. The temperature was 58 degrees, lots of sunshine and cool breezes.

I walked the long way to the post office and then I walked up the hill and around the rental town homes, around the other town homes, up to the 4 way stop and around the circle there. Then I walked to the path by the school and down it to the park. Then I walked over to the mill and around the parking lot, around the block and I saw Nola and walked around the block again with her and finally made my way home.

I looked down at my pedometer a couple of times and thought I should be seeing more miles than is showed. I was out for longer than I usually walk and the miles were still too low. Since I didn't walk a known route I wasn't sure of the miles. I thought I must have just been walking slower than usual. When I got home and looked closer at my pedometer, I realized that I had it set on the calorie burned mode. Once I moved it to the miles walked mode, I saw that I had actually walked 7.5 miles. So I had a good long walk today. :-)

It was pretty quite around town this morning. Besides Nola I only saw 3 dog walkers. There were lots of people getting in cars going to work and I thought how lucky I am to be able to start every morning with a walk!!

I found 1 nickel and 5 pennies.

Sunday Morning

A beautiful cool crisp morning, temperature of 56 degrees with sun and some clouds. Perfect walking weather.

It was good to get back to my regular walk - I missed it yesterday. I went directly to the park and along both paths, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and came back home.

I didn't see anyone out for the first part of my walk so I had the woods all to my self for a while. Later I saw Linda, 5 bike riders, 4 runners and walked home from the park with Nola.

I saw 4 bunny rabbits and managed to get a picture of this one. He was eating and turned around to look at me.

I also saw 4 deer, one of which I was about to take a picture of when a bike rider came by and scared it off.

I thought this yellow flower looked pretty growing wild in the woods. It's on tall long thin plants.

I walked 6.4 miles and found 2 pennies.

Carlisle Walk

A cool sunny morning with lots of big puffy white clouds.

I didn't go on my morning walk this Saturday around town. We left early in the morning to go to the Truck Show in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and I did my walking there. Not quite the same and didn't go as far but at least I still got to walk.

Here's one of the trucks that I liked. I also liked the blue sky with the puffy white clouds.

I saw LOTS of people walking and a few dogs! I didn't find any money and I only walked 4.6 miles. :-)

Friday Morning

What a gorgeous morning - 60 degrees, low humidity with a sunny sky, and a cool breeze. In the sky picture those clouds were on the way out and in just a little while the whole sky was blue.

I walked to the post office and dropped off some mail inside in the slot, then walked up the hill to the 4 way stop. I turned left and picked up the second path and walked to just before the Pratt Bridge. I turned left up the path to the road and then walked back along the road. Picked up the path going back to the park and then came home.

I saw a deer but it went running right across the path down from me a bit.

There were 7 bike riders out this morning, also 2 walkers, 2 runners, 5 dog walkers, and at the park a woman pushing a stroller with a little baby who was just chattering away and smiling. He was certainly enjoying his walk. :-) I also saw Linda, Doug & the dogs, Brenda, Nickie, Kim & her daughter.

I walked 6.4 miles and once again didn't find any money.

The temperature was 60 degrees with low humidity, some sun and clouds. A great morning for walking.

I walked to the park, along both paths, over Pratt Bridge, past the black fence to the bridge over Guilford Rd, turned around and headed back home.

I ran into Linda on the way back and walked some of the path with her. She turned off home and I as walked along the path back to the park I caught up to Gina walking her two dogs and walked with her. Then Becky came by on her bike and we all stopped to talk. 15 minutes later we all went our separate ways to go home.

I also saw Doug & his dogs, Brenda and 4 walkers, 4 bikes, 3 runners.

Three deer ran across the path. They must have been in a hurry because they had no time to stop and pose for the camera today. :-)

No money again today and I walked 7 miles.

Wednesday Morning

It was pretty warm out there this morning with a temperature of 70 degrees. There was very little sun, lots of clouds and a few sprinkles of rain. The rain felt good and when the breeze came it cooled me off.

I dropped off some shoes in the Planet Aide box and then walked over the Bollman Truss Bridge up Gorman to the library and dropped a book off in the book drop. Then walked around the circle there walking through the apartments and then went back to the bridge, but just before the bridge walked up and down the path there along the river. Once over the bridge I walked up toward the mill and around the block. Then up the hill on one street and back down on another and then home.

Walking around the circle I saw here how someone missed the curve and went right through the guard rail.

They must have really been moving to rip through it like that. Probably talking on their cell phone.

I saw Marsha out in front of her house. I haven't seen her out walking in a long time. I realized just how long it was because she is pregnant and about to have a baby girl any day now. :-)
I'll have to knit a little something for her.

These inpatients are along Fran's (another walker) driveway. They are so big and I love the pink and white together.

Didn't see any one I knew but I saw 4 walkers, 3 dog walkers, and 2 bike riders.

No money today and I walked 6 miles.

Tuesday Morning

A little warmer than yesterday morning, but still nice with a temperature of 64 degrees. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful morning.

No deer today! I don't think I'll ever get a better picture than the one I took yesterday.

I took my usual walk up to the park, along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge and walked to the black fence. But today I passed the fence and walked to the bridge over Guilford Road before turning around and heading back home.

I saw Doug & the dogs & his wife Sandy was along too. I also saw Stephanie, Brenda, Bill, Gina, and Linda as well as 5 walkers, 6 runners, 3 dog walkers, and 2 bike riders.

On the way back along the path the workers from the park, George, Tom, and Bill were on the path clearing the path and cutting over hanging branches out of the way and just checking things out. As I walked by I thanked them for keeping our paths safe and cleared. :-)

Lots of people playing tennis up at the park today - at least a dozen people.

I walked 7 miles and didn't find any money.

The Deer

This morning it was a cool sunny 60 degrees - perfect for a morning walk.

I walked straight to the park, along both of the paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, and walked to the black fence, turned around and came back home.

I saw a deer up at the park but then after I crossed the bridge I came across another deer and took these pictures. I sure got lucky with these pictures.

I first saw the deer in the woods.

The deer actually came up onto the path and followed me along the path for a little while and then took off in the woods. How cool was that!!! I feel so lucky to have gotten these pictures and being so close to her.

Sunday Morning

It was so nice walking this morning!! The humidity was low, there was a sunny sky and the temperature was 60 degrees.

I first walked to the post office to drop off a Netflix, walked over the Bolman Truss Bridge up Gorman to the library and dropped off a book in the drop box. I continued my walk going around the circle by the library and in and out of all the streets and courts. Then I went down Gorman, back over the bridge around the block and finally back home again.

I took this picture of some ornamental grass - it is huge!!

I saw another bunny rabbit this morning - seems like there are more of them around this year than usual.

I saw 7 other walkers, 4 bike riders, 3 dog walkers, and 1 runner out this morning, though there was no one I knew.

I walked 6 miles and found 2 pennies.

A little cooler this morning - temperature was 62 degrees. It was still humid but there were some rain showers left over from last night. Not enough rain to get wet, just to keep me cool walking. After about an hour the rain stopped altogether.

I walked the long the way to post office to drop off some mail in the box. Then I walked around town. Went up the hill to the 4 way stop and turned left and walked to take this last picture of the bridge work completely done. It did open up yesterday afternoon and in fact I drove over it yesterday. Walked back to the 4 way stop and went around the circle there and in and out of all the streets. Continued down the hill and around by the rental town homes. Back around the block and ran into Nola and walked around town with her and then finally back home.

I took a picture of this tree or maybe it's a bush just grown tall. I don't know what it is but they are all over the place. Here is a close up of it.

Pretty quite around town. Besides Nola, I saw Barb with her dog Buttercup. I haven't seen them for a while and today found out that Buttercup is a new mom - she had 8 puppies! I also saw one runner.

I frightened a bunny rabbit that I didn't even see at first. It ran away so fast that it collided with a Robin with a worm in it's mouth. Neither got hurt and the bunny just kept going.

This morning the sun was out, the temperature was 70 degrees and it was once again hot and humid.

I walked to the park, along both paths, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and came back home again.

The final touches are being done with the bridge work and I believe it will be opened for traffic later today.

I took this photo of flowers in someones yard on the way to the park.

I saw 2 deer running in the woods and a bunny rabbi.

This dragonfly I saw along the path. Part of it's wings were clear and you can see green leaves right through them.

I saw Linda, Ann, and Brenda along my walk. I also saw 7 bike riders, 5 runners, and 2 walkers.

Started this first day of August walking 6.4 miles and I found 1 penny.

Another one of those hot, humid, mornings with a temperature of 70 degrees already. I would have welcomed a couple of rain showers while walking. Sometimes if people are watering their lawn I'll walk through their sprinkler! :-)

I stayed along the paths today walking to the park, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home. It's quite a few degrees cooler in the woods along the paths by the water.

Lots of workers at the bridge today - the black top has been put down and they just have to smooth out the bumps before and after the bridge. I took this picture this morning.
I'm not that close because I didn't want to be seen taking the picture. I'm told that the bridge should be open for traffic again tomorrow!
I took this picture along the first path. It's marked off for something, but I have no idea for what.
I saw this bunny along the second path. He was sitting there grooming himself just like a cat. I don't think I have ever seen one doing that before - usually they are eating or running away.
I saw Linda, Doug & the dogs, Guy, and Nickie along the paths. I also saw a couple walking, 2 other walkers, 2 runners, 3 bikes, and 1 dog walker.

I walked 6.4 miles and found no money today.

It was a hot morning out there today. 70 degrees, hazy, hot, and humid with not a breeze to be felt.

I walked to the post office to drop off some mail inside in the slot and then continued up to the park. I walked along both paths, crossed over the Pratt Bridge, turned around and walked back home. I cut my walk just a little short today because Kenny has taken a vacation day and we are driving over to Delaware.

I saw Brenda, Nola, Fran, Guy, and Doug. I didn't see his dogs because they were off in the woods somewhere. They probably went in the water to cool off. I also saw 3 walkers, 1 runner and 1 bike.

There was a deer walking along the path and bounced into the woods when it heard me.

I walked 5.8 miles and no money today.

Temperature was 64 degrees this morning and there were a few light rain showers about when I first started out. The rain felt nice and cool. Once the sun came out it got pretty humid.

I walked around the lower part of town and then walked to the mill. This picture I took of the Begonias was in the parking lot.From there I walked to the rental town homes and then up to the 4 way stop, around the circle there, continued to the path by the school that leads to the park. From the park I walked back home.

As I was getting home Nola walked by and she stopped and we talked for a bit.
I saw 4 walkers and 2 runners. Pretty quite around town today.

I saw a big deer at the edge of the woods by the mill parking lot.

I walked 6.4 miles and found 1 dime.

A cloudy morning with a temperature of 60 degrees but not real humid.

I walked to the post office and dropped off some mail inside in the slot. Then walked up to the park along both paths, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence, turned around and walked back home.

I saw Linda way up ahead on the second path and caught up to her as she was turning around at the turn around circle to head back. Said hi and then continued to the fence. I caught up with her again when we came out of the path on Vollmerhausen by her house. I also saw Doug & the dogs, 4 bike riders, 3 walkers, 2 dog walkers, and 1 runner. It was nice along the paths today, not so many people like there has been this past week.

I saw a mama deer and THREE babies. I've never seen that before - they usually have two.

Along the second path between a couple of houses hangs this hammock. How nice it would be to relax in that in the afternoon reading a book. :-)

Up at the park there were quite a few kids shooting baskets.

I walked 6.6 miles and didn't find any money.

Back to one of those hot humid mornings. The temperature was 65 degrees and no sun today.

I walked to the post office first to drop off some mail inside in the mail slot.
I was walking up to the park and saw Nola walking so I walked around town with her instead. I haven't seen her for a while so it was nice to catch up on things with her. We walked a little over 3 miles and when she went home I walked up to the park. I went along the first path and then turned right, walked to the 4 way stop and went down the hill and back home.

I always see this dog when I pass by here sitting by the fence. She always sits there quietly watching people walk by.

Another house just went up for sale in town. I've always liked this house.

I saw 4 walkers, 4 runner, 3 bike riders and again no one walking dogs.

I walked 6.1 miles and found 1 penny.

A nice sunny morning for walking. Temperature was 60 degrees with low humidity.

Started my walk going to the post office to drop off a Netflix and then continued on up to the park. Walked both of the paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge to the black fence and turned around and came back home.

I caught up with Linda on the second path. She won't let me take her picture so I took this one coming up behind her. That is her up ahead on the path. I walked with Linda along the second path. There were so many people running and riding bikes that I didn't even bother to count them all. It's strange though that I didn't see any dog walkers out.

I counted 4 bunny rabbits along the way.

I called my mom during my walk to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. So I walked along with her for a little while. :-)

I walked 6.7 miles and found 2 pennies.

68 degrees this morning with sun, a few clouds and low humidity - a beautiful morning!!

I walked straight up to the park, along both paths, over Pratt Bridge, and today went past the black fence to the bridge under Gilford Road, where I turned around and headed back home.

I saw Doug & the dogs - his leg is just about back to normal and he was walking along at a good pace. I also saw Brenda, and the guy with the Vette. We stopped to talk about our cars and I learned that his name is Guy! After I crossed the bridge I caught up to Nicki and walked to Guilford Rd with her. She turned around with me there when I headed back home. Also out were 6 walkers, 4 bike riders, 1 runner and 1 dog walker.

The workers have retrieved all the orange and white barrels that were thrown in the river.

A couple of bunny rabbits were along the path, the chipmunk, and I saw the Heron, which I haven't seen for quite a while take off in flight over the water. What a beautiful sight that was!!

I walked 6.9 miles and found 1 penny.

The rain from last chased away the humidity and it was a beautiful cool 60 degrees with lots of sunshine this morning. Just perfect for a walk!

I walked around the lower part of town and then walked up to the park and along the path. When I got to Vollmerhausen I turned right and went to the 4 way stop. I walked all around the circle there going in and out of all the streets. Back to the 4 way stop and down the hill and back home.

I stopped to take this picture of the pretty Black Eyed Susans in some one's yard.

Work was getting started on replacing a few telephone poles down one of the streets in town. I'll remember to take a different street out of town when I go out later.

I saw Karen walking her 2 yellow Labs, another dog walker, and 2 walkers.

Another one of those hot humid mornings. Temperature was 68 degrees, mostly cloudy with a few peeks of the sun. Supposedly lots of rain on the way.

I walked up to the park, along both paths, to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home.

Someone has thrown a few of the white and orange barrels over into the water that are being used to block the road while the bridge work is going on. There are two right in front and another one farther down the river. I hope we get that rain later on today. You can see how low the river is getting.

I saw Ann, Linda, and Doug & the dogs walking. Doug was taking it slow this morning because he has a calf injury that he got last night playing softball. I saw Rival walking with Nicki's husband and the black Lab who wears the tee-shirt with his owner. The group of 5 people who run together had another person join the group - now there are 4 men and 2 women. I also saw 5 more runners, 4 walkers, 5 bike riders, and 2 dog walkers.

I saw the little chipmunk again - I don't know if it's the same one or not and a couple bunny rabbits.

I walked 6.4 miles and didn't find any money.

This morning was another one like yesterday. Temperature 70 degrees, sunny, hot & humid.

I walked to the post office to drop off a Netflix and then continued up to the park and along both paths, to the black fence and turned around and came back home.

All of us who use the path seem to be making a path here where we have to go around orange netting where they are working on the bridge.

I didn't see anyone out until I walked under I95 on the second path. Then I saw Becky & Bill - they met on the path and are now running buddies. Linda was walking as well as 6 other walkers, 5 runners, 2 bike riders, and 3 dog walkers. I caught up to Gina on the path back to the park walking with her two dogs and walked to the park with her. Then she turned around and walked back home and I continued on home. Said hi to George and Tom who work up at the park, there was a basketball game in progress and a few people playing tennis.

I spotted a deer in the woods and a little chipmunk was sitting on the railing of one of the bridges along the path. Of course when I took out my camera he ran away.

There are quite a few of these mushrooms scattered about in the woods. It looks like something took a little taste out of the little one.

This looks like part of a desk that someone dumped here along the path.

The temperature was 70 degrees this morning and it was sunny and very humid.

I walked around the block, around the rental town houses and then up to the 4 way stop. Walked around that circle and in and out of all the streets. Then I walked to and along the path that leads to the park and then back home.

It was pretty quite this morning. I saw 5 people walking their dogs on the streets and 2 people walking.

A couple of bunny rabbits were munching on some grass and that's about it. Didn't even take any pictures.

A sunny, hot and humid morning for my walk today with a temperature of 70 degrees.
Here's what the sky looked like this morning.I walked mostly around town this. Went around the block, then up the hill and around the rental town homes, back down the hill and then up to the 4 way stop sign and walked around the circle up there. It's nice and shady around the circle as you can see from this picture.
From there I went down to the bridge to take these two pictures of the work in progress. These metal corrugated strips are welded on to the metal beams.
I walked back up the hill from the bridge and walked along the path to the park and then home.

It's was a quiet Sunday morning and I didn't see that many people around town - 2 dog walkers.
When I got to the path I saw 3 more dog walkers, 2 walkers, and 2 bike riders. At the park there were a couple of tennis games in progress.

I didn't see any wildlife except for birds and squirrels.

I walked 6.3 miles and found 1 nickel and 6 pennies.
In response to the comments from yesterday: I am not superstitious at all about the money I find. I pick us many pennies as I see and I don't care if they're face up or down and I put them all in glass banks. :-)

The sun was shining and the temperature was 62 degrees when I started out and it was pretty pleasant but it quickly got hot and sticky. When I got back home it was 72 degrees at 8:15.

I walked over to the post office and dropped off a Netflix in the box and then continued to the park, along both paths, to the black fence and turned around and walked back to the park and home.

The first half of my walk I was pretty much alone along the path. I saw Linda and a couple of walkers. By the time I headed back there LOTS of people all along the paths. I lost count of the walkers and I stopped counting runners after number 15 and I didn't even count all the biker riders. There were so many runners I asked some of them if there was a charity run or something going on and they said no. I have never in all the years I've been walking these paths seen so many people in one day!! I guess since it's supposed to be hot that everyone who exercises in the county were on my paths today.

Before the path got so crowded I saw a cute little chipmunk and 2 bunny rabbits. The deer must have stayed hidden with so many people about.

I walked 6.5 miles and found 1 penny.

I left a little earlier than I usually do and it was 65 degrees, hot and very sticky. I'm glad I have the paths to walk along because it's somewhat cooler walking along the water.

I started out walking to Lois' house to turn OFF the water. I left one of her soaker hoses on over night. I won't have to turn that one back on for a few days! Then I walked up to the park and along both paths, to the black fence where I turned around and walked back to the park, and home again.

I lot of people were out doing their exercise early. The air quality for later today is supposed to be RED. I saw Doug & the dogs, Linda, Patty, and Kim & Katie, 13 runners, 4 walkers, 4 dog walkers, and 1 bike rider.

I took this picture of a patch of Queen Anne's Lace.

I looked up Queen Anne's Lace and it said that it is an uncultivated form of the carrot, with broad round heads of tiny white flowers that resemble lace. Also called wild carrot.

A sunny cool 60 degrees starting out this morning, but it quickly got hot and sticky.

I walked over to Lois' house and turned on the first hose to begin the watering for the day. Then continued over the Bollman Truss Bridge and walked up to the library and dropped a book off in the book drop. Walked around and the circle and in and out of the streets up that way. Just before crossing over the bridge again I walked along the path over looking the water by the mill.
While walking this morning I called my son David to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. It's hard to believe he is 36 years old today!!

I saw 5 dog walkers, 3 walkers, 1 runner and a mom pushing her little boy in a stroller.
I only saw 1 little bunny.

Another beautiful morning like yesterday - 60 degrees and sunny, though it was a bit warmer by the time I got back home at 70 degrees.

I walked up to the park, along both paths, over Pratt Bridge, but this time I passed up the black fence and walked to the bridge at Guilford Rd before turning around and heading back home.

Lots of runners out today. I saw 5 running in a group who looked like they were dying! and 7 other runners. 4 bike riders were out as well as 3 walkers and 1 dog walker.
I also saw Ann and Julie & Videa walking. Doug was out too with his dogs but I didn't see the dogs because they were off running in the woods.

As I was walking I saw three deer in the woods and with a runner coming up behind me I thought they would take off, but they didn't. The runner didn't even see the deer and just ran right past them. I slowed down, took out my camera and they just stood there and let me take their picture. There is a third one off to the left hidden in the trees.
I walked 6.9 miles and found 1 penny.

A beautiful sunny day with a temperature of 60 degrees. Great walking weather.

I walked my favorite route today which is up to the park along both paths, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence, turned around and walked back home.

I saw Beverly on the way to the park working out in her yard and stopped for a chat. Ann was walking along the path and I stopped to talk to her and a bit farther up the path I stopped to talk to Linda too. I also Kim & her daughter Katie, and 4 bike riders, 4 dog walkers, 3 walkers and 2 runners.

When I first started walking I saw a cute little chipmunk in my front yard and along my walk I saw only 1 little bunny rabbit.

A drizzly morning today and I had my umbrella up and down a few times. The temperature was 64. The sun is supposed to come out later today. :-)

I walked to the post office to drop off some mail and then I just walked all over town. No special route, I went up, down and around almost all of the streets.
I finally got a picture of the pony that lives here in town in someones back yard. I took the picture through the fence.
It's a cute little thing. I'm not even sure you are allowed to keep a pony in town, but no one complains about it. I've seen some dogs almost as big!! :-)
I took this picture of the mill down the street from me that I'm always talking about. It was an old textile mill that has been turned in to shops. Lots of antiques and specialty shops.
A very quiet morning around town. I only saw 2 dog walkers and 1 runner.

A sunny humid morning though there was a bit of a breeze out there. Temperature was 64 degrees.

I walked over to Lois's house and turned on the first water hose of the day, then went around the block. I walked along this road and then went to and over the Bollman Truss Bridge and went up Gorman to the apartments. Walked around the apartments and then took this path between the apartments and CarMax and back to Gorman and out to Route 1. This picture I took because very rarely do you see Route 1 with NO cars on it!! I walked around the block by Weis and then went back to Gorman, back along the path, and eventually made it back over the bridge, around the block again and home.

I saw the town "homeless" man walking to his spot on Route 1 by the light where he stands and panhandles. The thing is he is not homeless and lives in an apartment in town.
I also saw 6 walkers, 2 dog walker, and 1 runner.

I walked 6 miles and found 2 pennies.

62 degrees, sunny and humid made it a hot morning walk.

No pictures today. My camera and wallet are made out of the same material and color and about the same size and I grabbed my wallet instead of my camera. Didn't have a key and my husband was still in bed when I left so I couldn't go back and get it.

I walked to the post office to mail off a Netflix and then continued on up to the park. Walked along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and came back home.

Lots of people out again this morning though not a lot of people that I know. I saw Ann and stopped for a short chat. I recognized Rival who is usually being walked by Nickie, but her husband was walking him today. I usually say good morning to man I see who lives a couple of blocks away from me on the way to the park. Today we stopped to talk for a bit and I found out his name is Steve. I saw a couple walking their two dogs one of which was carrying around a rock, 3 other dog walkers, 3 walkers, 4 bike riders and 9 runners.

It was nice just walking by the water along the path and seeing and hearing all the birds and wildlife. I am so lucky to be able to walk here each day.
Today I walked 6.5 miles and found 1 penny.

A nice cool morning for my walk. A temperature of 60 degrees with sunny skies and low humidity. What a wonderful Friday morning it is!!

I walked up to the park and along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home. I almost walked a different route today but I'm glad I didn't because I got to take this picture of Mama Deer and Baby Deer crossing the path. They are a little far away but I was glad to get a picture of them.
I also saw 3 other deer in the woods earlier.

No one working on the bridge today, but it looks like they are finished with the welding and have painted it.
It's funny how people can see the same thing and think different thoughts. I saw this work done and thought, oh they have this part done already, the work is coming along nicely. Someone else said to me, they finally got that part done, they won't have this bridge done till December!!!

LOTS of people out this morning. I saw Linda, Ann, Brenda, Kim & her 2 daughter, both Doug & Sandy with their dogs, and Nicki. Also out were 7 bike riders, a couple walking their dog, 1 other dog walker, 4 runners, and 2 walkers.

The temperature was 66 degrees and it was sunny, hot and humid once again. A cool front is supposed to come along this afternoon and lower the humidity.

I walked to the post office to drop off a letter in the box and then walked around town some more. I mention Beverly once in a while when I see her walking and this Hydrangea bush is in her sister Donna's yard who lives down the road from me. I think it is so pretty with the pink, purple, and blue flowers all in the same bush.
I walked around the rental town homes and then to the 4 way stop, around the circle up there going in and out of all the courts. Walked down the middle of the circle on the path and then headed over to the school. Walked along the path to the park and then home.

A block from home I saw my friend Jackie (who we had dinner with last night) in her car on the way to work. Jeannie was out walking today and I also saw 1 bike rider, 2 dog walkers, and 1 runner.

I saw a few Goldfinches along the path, a few Cardinals, and many Robins.

I walked 6.2 miles and found 2 pennies.

Another hot humid morning with a temperature of 70 degrees. A few sprinkles around which felt good since it was so warm.

Here is what the sky looked like this morning. The sun tried but just couldn't get through those clouds.

I went over to Lois's house first thing to check on her flowers. They seem to be doing okay water wise but the deer and bunny rabbits must have had dinner there last night. Quite a few of her plants have been eaten.
From there I walked up to the park and along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge and walked to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home.

The work on the bridge continues with the welding. I got a chuckle out of a guy welding under an umbrella. The picture is a bit blurry but I didn't want them to know I was taking the picture so I was a bit far away. Here they are taking a break to talk.

I saw Linda, Doug & the dogs, Kim & Katie, Stephanie, Vicki, and the vette man. Also out were 6 runners, 3 bike rider, and 1 dog walker.

A deer ran across the path and I saw lots of bunny rabbits. I've seen more rabbits this year than I can ever remember.

The temperature was 66 degrees and it was a sunny morning. It was humid again but not quite as bad as yesterday.

I started out my walk going to the post office and dropping a letter in the box. I passed Beverly & Fran as I walked to the park. Along the first path I saw Linda and turned around and walked back to the park with her. Then we walked over by the mill and back to and along the path again. She lives right at the end of the path so she went home and I turned around again and walked back to the park. Along the path I was 2 dog walkers and one other walker. I continued my walk around town a bit till I had walked 6 miles and by then I was back home.

Pretty quite out there this morning.
I took a picture of this spider. My doesn't it have long legs! I'd rather see it outside then in the house. :-)You'll have to click on it to see it better.

Monday Morning & an award

It was hot out there this morning. 70 degrees, hazy and humid.

I walked over to the post office first and mailed a letter. Then continued up to the park and along both paths. Just before Pratt Bridge, I took the left path and walked up to the road. I walked back home along the roads just to go a different way.

I took this picture along the path. It's a delicate little white flower and there are quite a lot of them along the path. I didn't notice until I looked at the picture that there are thorns on it.

I saw the little bunny rabbit again.

Beverly & Fran were walking in town, I saw Linda on the first path, and Kim & her two daughters walking along the second path. One runner along the second path and along the road I saw Smitty in a car. I always see him running along the path and it seemed funny to see him driving. :-) I also saw 3 other walkers along the road.

As I ran across the street I dropped my cell phone and the back came off and went flying one way and the battery went flying another way. After I collected the pieces and put it back together I'm happy to say, it worked fine. :-)

I found 1 penny and walked 6.3 miles.

I am happy to say that I have received an award from Helen for my blogs. The words are written in her first language which is Norwegian and in English it says "You Make My Day Better :-)" How nice to receive this from you Helen. Thanks so much. You have made my day better! :-)

I walked over the Bollman Truss Bridge and up Gorman Rd to the library and dropped off a book in the book drop. Then continued to walk up Gorman going in and out of a few streets and around the neighborhoods. When I got to where Gorman turns off I turned around and walked back home.

A couple were out walking their two white Pyrenees Mountain dogs. On the other side of the street a woman was walking her two little white poodles. The poodles were barking their fool head off and the Mountain dogs just gave them a look and continued on. It was so funny.
I also saw one other dog walker, 6 runners, and 4 walkers.

I saw a bunny rabbit munching on some grass

and as I walked down my driveway I saw another bunny in my yard.

I walked 6.3 miles and didn't find any money. I haven't found much money so far this month. People must be picking up those coins these day.

A dreary, cloudy, humid morning with a temperature of 68 degrees. A good morning to get out and walk to brighten up the morning. :-)

I walked the long way to the post office and dropped off a Netflix in the box. Then I walked all around town today. Up the hill to the 4 way stop, turned right, walked over Route 32 and down around all the apartments and townhouses. Then back over 32 to the 4 way stop, down to and around the rental townhouses and back home.

A few people were getting a yard sale set up by the rental townhouses.

I came across this cute sign in some one's garden.

I saw an older man running with a little boy and said, "You're getting him started young." He stopped and said "He's my great grandson. I'm 70 and he's 5." I thought that was so cool!! I also saw 1 dog walker and 3 walkers.

I found a nickle and walked 6 miles.

A cloudy morning and humid with a couple very light rain showers. The temperature was 64 degrees.

I walked over to Lois's house and was going to turn on the first hose to water her flowers, but they were looking pretty good and it since we might get some rain today I didn't bother.

I continued on up to the park and walked along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, walked to the black fence, turned around a walked back home.

Here are a couple more pictures of the bridge work done so far.

I saw a couple walking with their two dogs. One of their dogs was carrying a huge stick about 5 feet long. It was so funny to see him just walking along with this huge stick. :-) Lilly was out running with her dog and I saw one other dog walker, 6 runners and 2 walkers, and 1 bike rider.

I saw three bunny rabbits again. They must be the same ones because they are always in the same place.

I took a picture of this rock. I think it looks like a little cottage with a chimney on the right side.

My eyes popped open at 5:30 this morning and I was wide awake so I got up and started my walk early. I was out of the house by 5:45. The morning was cool with a temperature of 58 which was great walking weather.

Here is what the sky looked like at 6:00 up at the park.

I walked to the park, along both paths, crossed over the Pratt Bridge and continued on to the black fence where I turned around and walked back. I walked around the park and then headed home.

I saw a deer standing on the path and it took off when it spotted me. Also saw 2 bunny rabbits.

Lots of people out early this morning. When I first started walking I saw people I've never seen before because I'm not usually out so early. I did see a few I knew - Becky, Bill, and Brenda. I also saw 2 bike riders, 6 walkers, and 9 runners. No dogs this morning.

I walked 6.5 miles and didn't find any money.

Once again I had great weather for my walk. 60 degrees and cool, some sun and clouds.

I walked directly to the park and along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, passed up the black fence and walked to the bridge under Guilford Rd where I turned around and headed back home. After leaving the park I walked around the block and then home.

Lots of people out exercising early this morning. I saw Linda and Jimmy walking. I stopped to talk to Sandy & the dogs (no Doug today) for a few minutes and on the way back to the park on the first path I walked with Gina & her two dogs, Casey & Skipper. I saw a woman walking her dog who was wearing a tee-shirt - not the woman but the dog. :-) His head was through the neck with his 2 front paws in the sleeves and she had tied a knot at the end so it wouldn't hang down. Also out were 6 runners, 5 walkers, and 1 bide rider.

I saw a blue bird on the first path and along the second path I saw 3 bunny rabbits together nibbling on some weeds. When I went to take a picture they all scattered off in different directions. I also saw a couple of black squirrels.

I walked 7 miles and didn't find any money.

A great walk this morning. When the rain left last night it took the humidity along with it. A bright sunny cool 60 degree morning.

I walked around town and made my way up to the park. Walked around the park and then walked the path and went to the 4 way stop. I didn't walk the second path because of all the rain - it would have been too soggy. I walked around the circle at the 4 way stop and in and out of all the streets, then walked the path right through the middle of the circle. Walked back to the 4 way stop and then walked around the rental town homes and back home.

Monday Morning and June Statistics

A sunny morning but not quite as humid as it has been. Still pretty warm though. The temperature was 64 when I started out.

I walked over to Lois's and turned the hose on in her garden, then I walked to the post office and then continued on up to the park and along both paths to and over Pratt Bridge. I turned around there and walked back to the park. Walked around the park and back home.

The bridge work continues. I saw Linda, Kim & Katie, and Doug & the dogs. The dogs enjoyed a swim in the river and were soaking wet!! I also saw 3 runners, 3 bike riders and 2 walkers.

I walked 6.7 miles and found 1 dime, 1 nickel, and 2 pennies.

JUNE STATISTICS

June is over already and time to add up the miles I've walked and the money I've found.
I walked 177.8 miles this month and a total for the year of 1119.3 miles.

I have found $1.78 this month.
The total money I've found walking so far this year is $12.11. I won't get rich but every penny counts. :-) Just think how much money is just sitting on the streets waiting to be picked up!!

A sunny hot humid morning and it was 64 degrees.

I walked the long way to the post office and then crossed over the Bollman Truss Bridge and headed up Gorman. I took this picture as I walked up Gorman Rd.

Passed the library and after a couple of blocks I turned in by a neighborhood of town houses. These Begonias are by the entrance.

Walked from one neighborhood into another one and this path leads from one to the other.

Eventually made my way back to Gorman, over the bridge and back home again.

I saw 5 runners, 3 walkers, and 1 man pushing a stroller with twins and walking the dog. I figured he got out of the house and was letting his wife have a sleep in. :-)

Someone was along the side of the road trying to get his car started. He would try every so often and it just wasn't kicking over. It seems to me that the battery was going to be completely dead very soon if he kept trying.

I walked 6 miles and found 1 dime and 7 pennies.

A humid warm hazy morning with a temperature of 66 as I headed out the door today. This is what the morning sky looked like. I took the picture on the path behind the school.
I walked to the park and along the path and down the road to the second path. Here is a picture of the bridge work so far.I walked along the second path, over Pratt Bridge and turned around and walked back along the path. After I walked backed along the bridge work I was going to walk the rest of the way home on the road but it was pretty hot so I decided to walk back along the path in the woods to the park. Nice and cool under all the trees. I walked around the park and around the block and back home.

The bike that was along the path for so long was gone today. I saw a couple of bunny rabbits again.

I didn't see anyone I knew by name out today, but I did see a group of 4 guys running, 2 other runners, 1 walker, 1 dog walker and 2 bike riders. There were a few people playing tennis at the park and a baseball game was in progress.

I woke up early this morning and was out the door walking at 5:55. The temperature was 65 degrees, quite humid and sunny.

I walked over to Lois's and turned on the first hose of the day for watering her gardens. Then headed to the post office to mail a Netflix. Walked around the block and up to the park. Cut across the baseball field and walked around Windemere circle, back to the park and then along the first path. Then to the 4 way stop and around the circle there, walked to and around the rental town homes and then back home.

I saw 1 bike rider, 2 runners, and 2 walkers.

The black squirrels were out along the path. I always see tons of the gray squirrels but today I saw one with only half a tail.

Pretty quiet around town early this morning.

I walked 6.4 miles and found 2 pennies.

This morning was cloudy and humid with a temperature of 60 degrees. It was pretty warm walking but a good walk anyway.

I walked to the park and along the path. This is what the bridge looks like closed today coming and this is it looking from the other way coming back.I'm so glad I am still able to walk along both paths. Today I just walked to the Pratt Bridge, then turned around and walked back to and around the park and home. I left a little bit earlier too because I have a few things to do around the house and have to leave by 9:20 or so to meet Cheryl.

I saw Ann, Linda, Kim & her two daughters, 2 bike riders, 2 runners, 2 walkers, and 3 kids walking.

I stopped to talk to one of the walkers for a minute as we watched a bunny rabbit munching on some weeds.

This bike has been sitting here on the path for the past week.
I walked 5.8 miles and didn't find any money.

I'm getting spoiled with all these great walking mornings. Another bright sunny morning and a cool temperature of 58 degrees.

I walked up to the park and along the path and since the bridge wasn't going to be closed till 9, I had time to walk the second path too. I only went to the Pratt Bridge though and turned around. I thought they might close the bridge early and I wouldn't be able to cross back over.
The workers were already there taking measurements when I got back to the road. I asked them about the road and path being closed and they said they would leave a way to get to the walking path. :-) So it looks like I get to the walk along my path after all. That is good news!!
I walked back to the park and then around the block, passed the post office and back home.

I saw Linda, Kim & her daughters, Doug & the dogs, 3 bike riders, 2 runners, and 1 walker. I'm surprised there weren't more people out on such a nice morning.

Three deer ran across the path and I saw 2 little bunnies and 1 big bunny.

55 degrees on a bright sunny cool morning as I started on my walk.

I walked to the park and along the path. The sign on the bridge as I crossed over to the second path now says Bridge Closed June 25 at 9:00 AM. So I have today and tomorrow to walk across it. I walked down the path, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence and turned around and came back home.

I didn't see anyone I knew by name but I did see a trio of women walkers, 2 other walkers, 2 runners, and 1 dog walker.

Here is a picture of some more flowers I saw along the way to the park which I thought looked so pretty. Such a deep color pink. They look like geraniums to me but the leaves aren't right.

I saw 3 tiny bunnies and that cute little chipmunk again. There were quite a few Cardinals about too. Their red color looks so pretty against the green trees of summer and the brown trees of winter and against the white snow.

A couple of weeks ago my left shoe developed a squeak in it and it was starting to drive me crazy, but I'm happy to say that today it was no longer there. :-)

This morning was cloudy and a bit on the humid side with a temperature of 64 degrees.

I walked down to one of my neighbors house to turn on a couple hoses to water her gardens. She is on vacation for 6-8 weeks. Just before coming home I stopped there again to turn off the hoses, water some plants by hand and then turned on a couple of other hoses. This is going to be an all day event. I sure hope we get a lot of rain this summer!!

I walked to the post office to drop some mail off in the box then walked up the hill to the 4 way stop and walked over to the path. No work has started on the bridge yet so there was no problem getting to the second path. I walked along there, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and walked back. Walked back along the first path that leads to the park and home.

Nola is back home again so I don't have to pick up the paper that doesn't get delivered anymore. :-)

No pictures today because my husband is borrowing my camera.

I saw a baby bunny, a deer and a chipmunk.

Kim was walking her daughters dog, Doug & the dogs were out and I saw 4 walkers, 2 runners and a dog walker.

A bright sunny morning with a temperature of 60 degrees.

I walked up to the park and long both paths and crossed over Pratt Bridge. Continued on past the black fence and walked all the way to Lake Elkhorn. I turned around there and walked back to Pratt Bridge where Kenny arrived with a nice cold bottle of water, picked me up and drove me home. He picked me up because it would be a bit too far for a morning walk to go all the way back home.

I saw 3 bunny rabbits and a deer.

Stephanie was out walking and I also saw 7 bike riders, 5 runners and 4 walkers.

Once again the morning was bright and sunny with a temperature of 58 degrees and a great morning for a walk.

I had a bit of a scary experience this morning for the first time since I've been walking around here. I walked up to the mill and took one of the paths in the woods behind the mill. It is not a much used path so I thought I would do a little exploring. I walked in a ways and was taking pictures and came across a group of about 6 people and I think I walked into the middle of a drug deal. They all stared at me and I just hurried along the path. As I went farther into the woods the path kind of dwindled out but I didn't want to go back by those people so I just walked in the woods farther. Then I was afraid I would come across snakes. I really don't know where I was, then I climbed up a bit of a hill and came across another path which I followed and it took me out of the woods out by the park where I usually walk. I was never so glad to see that park. :-) I won't go exploring in those woods again!!

I love these beautiful cool sunny mornings and we got another one of them today. Temperature was 58 degrees and sunrise was at 5:41.

I walked to the park, along both paths, over Pratt Bridge, passed the black fence today and went to the bridge under Guilford Rd. There I turned around and came back home. On the way home I again walked passed Nola's house to pick up the newspaper.

I cross over the river here at this bridge going from the first path to the second. Starting on Monday this bridge is going to be closed while they do repair work. I called the number that was flashing for information. It will be closed for 10 weeks to cars and pedestrians which might be a problem for me. This in the only way I can get to the second path without going miles around. On Monday I'm going to walk down and see if there isn't some way they will let me walk by. Maybe I can bake them some chocolate chip cookies and bribe them. :-)

Walking along the path I came across this little bunny rabbit who stayed for photo shoot. He was really tiny.
Lots of people out early this morning. I saw Ann, Linda, Judy, Patty, Kim & her two daughters, and Stephanie. One man ran by listening to music and singing. I'm sure he didn't realize how loud he was. :-) I also saw 5 other runners, 6 walkers, and 2 bike riders. Funny, no dog walkers today.

This morning was a ditto of yesterday. Lots of blue sky and sunshine with a temperature of 56. I could get used to mornings like this. :-)

Walked to the post office and mailed yet another Netflix of Star Trek Voyager. Then I walked up the hill and around the rental town homes and the other town homes. Went to the 4 way stop and walked around the circle there, then back through the 4 way stop down to Windemere and cut through to the baseball field and walked around the park. Walked around the block and passed Nola's house to pick up her newspaper that doesn't get delivered. :-) Then continued walking around town a bit more and then went home.

I saw 2 people riding bikes and 1 walker. I walked a short way with a guy walking home from the store. As I came up behind him and said Good Morning I startled him. I talk first not to scare people but sometimes just talking scares them.
I saw lots of people but they were all getting in their cars to go off to work. As I say good morning to them, I think to myself I'm happy to be out walking and not have to go to work. :-)

Another great morning. Sunny and cool - temperature 54 degrees. Sunrise was an early 5:41.

On the way to the park I passed Nola's house. She is away for the week and I'm picking up the free newspaper that is delivered to all our houses and throwing it away so she doesn't have 5 of them sitting in front of her house when she gets home. Nola called to ask them to please stop delivering them and they told her no one distributes them in our area!! Hmm, guess the newspaper fairy drops them off.
I walked along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, walked to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home.

As I walked over the bridge, I saw a Z06 in the parking lot and walking along the path I saw a man who I guessed was the owner of the car. I asked him if it was his and sure enough it was. :-)
Patty was walking with only one of her dogs today. Her other one is home with an injury resting. :-(
Kim was out walking and both of her daughters Katie and Jen were with her.
I also saw Linda, 4 runners, 3 bike riders, and 2 other walkers.

I counted 9 Goldfinches over by the school and I saw a deer along the path too.

We woke up early this morning so I was out walking an hour earlier than usual so I was able to get a nice morning sky picture.
A cool front blew in late yesterday with the rain and this morning was just gorgeous working weather- sunny, bright, cool and 60 degrees.

On the way up to the park I saw Nola at a distance and along the first path only saw 1 man walking his dog. Continued on to the second path and saw Sandy & the dogs (no Doug today), a bike rider and a runner. I walked across Pratt Bridge, passed the black fence to the bridge under Guilford Rd and turned around. Once I crossed back over Pratt Bridge I turned right on the path and walked up to the road. Walked along the road until I got to the school where I turned back in the path. I saw 3 more bike riders along the road. Along the path I saw Linda picking blackberries and stopped to talk and pick some blackberries for her, though I ate more than I gave her. She is going to make blackberry cobbler. That sure sounds good!! I walked back to the park and home.

Since I started early and it was so nice out, I stayed out a little bit longer and walked 7.7 miles.

Aah, so nice to be back walking after 2 days. I can't believe how much I missed it!!!
A great morning for walking - some sun, some clouds, blue sky and a temperature of 60 degrees. Sunrise was at 5:41.

Started walking around the block and only got a few houses up the street and stopped to talk to Marlene out in her yard. A little farther along I saw Nola and walked a couple of miles with her around town. She went home and on my way to the park I saw Beverly & Fran. A couple of people were playing tennis and walking dogs at the park and I saw Ann and Linda. I turned right when I got to the end of the path and walked to the 4 way stop and around the circle there. Then went down the hill and in and out of a few streets on the way. Walked passed the fire station and all the fire trucks were out in front. They were testing the sirens and just giving everything a good checking over. Continued walking around the block and headed back home.

This is a picture of Crown Vetch which is all along one part of the path. It is usually planted on hills along roads to help with soil erosion. It is all over the place.

A bright sunny morning with a temperature of 66 as I started on my walk. The sun was up early at 5:41.

I walked directly to the park and along the paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge and continued on the path to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home. It is so nice being able to walk along the paths in the shade.

I saw the Heron, a few Cardinals again, 2 Blue Jays and this black snake on a tree which I stopped to take a picture of. It was just sitting there watching a couple of squirrels run up the tree.

Lots of people out this morning. I saw Linda, Kim & Katie, Nicki, and Erin who I haven't seen in a long time. She was walking with her husband. Also out were 2 dog walkers - one was a man with a Beagle named Wolf. (Deb - Wolf was walking without a leash and staying right by his side!!). I also saw 5 walkers, 5 runners, and 7 bike riders.

I walked 6.4 miles and found 1 penny.

Another beautiful sunny morning. Sunrise was at 5:41 and the temperature was 60 degrees - perfect for walking.

I walked up to the park and along both paths, over Pratt Bridge and today I walked passed the black fence and went to the bridge on Guilford Rd where I turned around and walked back home. I felt like walking farther but there are other things I have to do today besides walk. :-)

Weather was beautiful this morning. The humidity is down, it was sunny and 66 degrees. Sunrise was at 5:41.

I walked the long way to the post office and then around town a bit before going up to the park. On the way to the park I saw Linda in the distance. Nola was walking up toward the park on her way home and I walked a short way with her. Once at the park I stopped to talk to the park workers. I thanked them for keeping the paths clear. We have waved and said Good Morning to each other for a long time but I never knew their names. They are George, Bill, and Tom. I told them my name too and they said, "Now we can stop calling you the walking lady." :-) I walked back down to town and walked up the hill, around Windemere, around the rental town homes, around the block and back home.

I stopped to talk to Rose the crossing guard. There are only 2 more days of school left and I won't see her again until the end of August so I wanted to tell her to have a nice summer. I also stopped to talk to Beverly and her sister Donna. Donna was taking her baby grandson for a walk. What a cutie he is with big blue eyes.

Here are a couple of pictures I took today. These purple flowers are some kind of weed and pop up all over the place. They have VERY long thick roots! But are so pretty.

It was another one of those sunny hot humid days with a temperature already of 72 early this morning. Sunrise was at 5:41 - same as yesterday.

I walked to the park and along both paths, over Pratt Bridge, to the black fence where I turned around and headed back home. I'm glad I have these shaded paths to walk along with it being so hot.

I see quite a lot of these trees along my walk. The berries look like blackberries but I didn't realize blackberries grew on trees. I thought they grew on vines.

I saw quite a lot of people out this morning. Nola, Linda, Patty, and 5 walkers, 5 runners, 4 bike riders, and 2 dog walkers. My eccentric neighbor Jimmy was out again. He sure likes to talk and it's always so hard to get away with out being rude. He never has a break in talking - just goes on and on.

Look at all these ants I came across. I didn't realize what they were at first.

All the trees that where down across the path yesterday are already cut up and moved off the path. The workers are really good about keeping the paths clear for us and I thank them for it.

Sunrise was at 5:41 and it was up and shining when I left for my walk. A very hot and humid morning with a temperature of 70 degrees - when I got home it was up 10 more degrees.

I walked to the park and along both paths, over Pratt Bridge, to the black fence and turned around and came back home.
I had been staying out of the woods because of the mosquitoes but this morning I put Off on and walked in the woods. It worked because the mosquitoes didn't bother me at all. It was nice walking along the paths in the shade.

Three trees had come down during one of the thunder storms along the paths. All three of these trees were just before getting to Pratt Bridge.

I saw Linda, Kim & Katie, Judy, 5 runners, 4 walkers, 2 dog walkers, and 2 bike riders. Quite a lot of people out on such a humid morning. I think everyone wanted to get their exercise over with before it gets really hot.

I saw the woodpecker again, a couple Goldfinches, and a Cardinal.

I saw 2 deer and got a picture of one of them.

Sunrise was at 5 :41. Another hot humid morning like yesterday with a temperature of 70 degrees. It was very still out with not even a slight breeze. It would have been nice to have a rain shower pass over. :-) This picture of the flag by the post office shows how still it is.I walked the long way to the post office and then walked up the hill to the 4 way stop, turned right and walked over Rte 32 to Castleford Rd and walked around the apartments and town homes. Back to the 4 way stop, down the hill, around the block and back home again.

A very quiet morning out - I only saw one dog walker.

I saw a Flicker woodpecker, tried to get a picture, but he just wouldn't pose for me.

I walked 5.7 miles and found 1 dime, 1 nickel, and 2 pennies.

It's a hot one out there this morning already. 70 degrees but very humid and foggy. Sunrise was at 5:41 but no sign of it yet.
This weekend in my town is the Town Fest which they have every year. A couple of people were arriving and to set things up for it when I left this morning. This is where it will be.
A local church always has a Strawberry Fest at the same time and they too were starting to get set up.
I saw Nola and walked a couple of miles around town with her. When she went home I walked up the hill and walked around Windemere Circle. I saw Holly with her owner. Holly was the yellow Lab puppy I met around Christmas time - wow, she has grown!! Then I walked on the path that leads to the school and walked around the school and went to the 4 way stop. Walked around that circle. I stopped to talk to Jeannie who was walking her dog. He is pretty old and needs a little help walking.
I then walked down to the rental town homes, walked around them and then went home.

I saw 1 dog walker and 1 runner.

Walked 6.2 miles and found 2 nickels and 1 dime.

Friday Morning

Sunrise was at 5:41 and temperature was 66 degrees on a cloudy morning. It misted just a bit for a little while, but hardly worth mentioning.

I forgot to wear my pedometer this morning, so I walked a pretty straight route so it would be easier to track my walk with GMaps Pedometer. I walked the long way to the post office and then walked across the Bollman Truss bridge, all the way up Gorman to where it turns in Skylark. Then walked to where the sidewalk ends.

That is where I took this picture of some more Thistle which was over 5 feet tall.

This is a close up of one.

From there I turned around walked back down the hill over the bridge again, around the block up near the park and back home.
Jimmy, our eccentric neighbor from down the street was out walking. He was the only one I knew. I also saw 3 dog walkers, 5 runners, 5 walkers, and 1 bike rider.

I saw a few red winged black birds and some cardinals.

I walked 6.8 miles and didn't find any money.

The rain and storms are gone from yesterday and this morning its sunny and bright, though a bit humid again. The storms left lots of trees and branches down all over. Sunrise was at 5:42 and it was a warm 65 degrees.

I walked around the long block and up to the park. There were tree limbs and leaves scattered all along the path.I only walked the one paved path because of all the rain. I was going to walk back and forth along the first path but I only walked one way because there were so many mosquitoes. I don't know how many I killed that landed on me. So when I got to the end of the path I went around the school and went to Windemere and walked around there and went to the park that way. Walked back home after 4 miles to pick up the Netflix that I forgot to mail earlier. As I came out of the house Nola was there so I walked a couple more miles with her around town.

I took this picture at the end of the path by the school. I think it is some kind of thistle.

I saw Lorrie & Karen walking with the 6 dogs, Linda, Lin, and 2 other walkers.

I found 4 pennies and walked 6.5 miles.

Wednesday Morning

Sunrise was at 5:42 and it was a warm humid 66 degrees this morning. Rain threatened but it never happened.

I walked around the lower part of town, then went walked over by the mill, to the park, around the block and made a pit stop at home after walking 4 miles. Then went back on my way up around the rental town homes, down the hill and back home.

This is up at the park where people can rent this picnic area. I've been to a few parties here over the years.

I thought these flowers looked pretty.

I think these are cool looking. They are about 3 feet tall.

I saw Lorie out walking all the dogs - two of hers and her sister's two. I also saw Ed, the retired mailman and walked a couple of blocks with him. I saw one other walker.

I walked 6.2 miles and found 1 dime, 6 pennies.

Another great morning for walking. Sunrise was at 5:42 and it was a bright sunny day when I started my walk with a temperature of 55 degrees.

I walked to the park and along both paths, crossed over Pratt Bridge, passed up the black fence and walked to the bridge under Guilford Rd. Then turned around and walked back home.

Here is a close up of the white flowers on the vine from yesterday.

I spotted this ladybug so took a picture of her too. It is a bit blurry though.

I saw 2 deer bouncing along in the woods. Walking home from the park a friendly kitty came running up to me for a pet.

Lots of people out this morning. I saw Ann, Linda, Kim & Katie, Patty, Nola, 5 runners, 5 walkers, 3 bike riders, and 1 dog walker.
Walking along the path one of the runners (who I've never seen before) was running toward me. As I said my usual "Good Morning," he just looked at me turned around and went running back. Now I know this is early in the morning and I don't have any makeup on, but hey I don't think I'm that scary!! :-)

52 degrees on this bright sunny morning and the sun rose at 5:43.

Walked to the post office and then to the park and along both paths to the black fence, turned around and walked back home.

I saw a few of the black squirrels and a bunny rabbit.

Linda, Doug & the dogs, and Kim & Katie were out walking. Also saw 2 dog walkers, 2 walkers, 1 runner and 1 bike.

I took a picture of this vine with white flowers. It is growing up the trees like this all over the place. I walked 6.4 miles and didn't find any money.

A pretty quiet morning, not much happening, but it was a great day for a walk and I enjoyed it. :-)

Another warm morning with a temperature of 65 degrees and the sun rose at 5:43, the same as yesterday. The sun and clouds were fighting it out this morning and by the time I got home the sun had won. :-)

I walked up to the park and along the first path. Then I turned right and walked to the 4 way stop and went around the circle there and also walked in and out of all the streets. I then walked down to the rental town homes, around the block and back home.

I saw Lin, Barb and her dog Buttercup, another dog walker, 2 runners, and 1 walker. Pretty quiet around town today.

I started the month of June walking 6.2 miles and found 3 pennies.

Saturday Morning and May Statistics

Sunrise this morning was at 5:43 and it was 60 degrees. A bit of humidity creeping in which made for pretty warm morning. A little overcast but still a fine morning for walking.

I walked all around town with no special route. Walked around by the rental town homes and it must have been a while since I walked there because all the broken pieces of sidewalk have been replaced and I didn't even know about it. :-) This picture I took a few blocks over from my house. Just thought these pink flowers looked so pretty.Walked around the circle up by the 4 way stop and then over the bridge at Route 32 and down that way around the town houses and apartments and then made my way back home.

I saw 3 dog walkers and 2 walkers.

There were 4 yard sales getting set up for today around town and at one of them I felt so sorry for one little boy about 5 or 6 years old. There was a wooden train set all put together sitting out on a table and the little boy was crying because they were selling his train set and he still wanted it. :-(

I walked 6.1 miles and found 2 pennies.

Another month as gone by and time to add up the money I've found and the miles I've walked for May.

This month I have walked 201 miles which brings the total for the year up to 941.5 miles.

I have found $1.91 this month.

A total of $10.33 for the year. I won't get rich but I keep filling up those glass banks. :-)

Friday Morning

Another one of those perfect mornings for walking. Sunrise was at 5:44 and the temperature was 50 degrees with a bright blue sky when I walked this morning.

Walked to the park by way of the post office and walked along both paths. Just before getting to Pratt Bridge I took the path back up to the street and walked back along Murryhill and Vollmerhausen. Then popped back in the path by the school and walked to the park and home.
When I got back home there was a surprise hanging on my back door - a bag with chocolate fudge and peanut butter fudge that Nola made for me. :-) Thanks Nola!!!

I saw a deer along the first path.

I went down by the water and took this picture. I wish you could hear the babbling sound of the water. I love that sound and it was so peaceful down there by the water.

I saw Linda, 1 dog walker, 3 walkers, 1 runner and 4 bike riders. The man who loves to ring his little bell is back!

Thursday Morning

Sunrise was at 5:44 and it was a cool 46 degrees as I started my walk. The sun was out in a bright blue sky so it warmed up quick. Beautiful morning for a walk.Walked to the park by way of the post office. Then walked both paths, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence where I turned around and walked back home.

I saw a man washing his truck on the way to the park, Beverly was out and a bike rider went by. Ann was walking in the park and I saw Doug & the dogs and Nicki too. I saw 2 runners and 1 walker. The last person I saw was a man riding a bike and on the back in what looked like an insulated lunch bag strapped on the fender was the tiniest little dog getting a ride. It was so cute. They went by too fast to snap a picture.

These weeds grow all along a few parts of the path. I like how when the new leaves grow they come in a lighter green color. I just think they look pretty.

Wednesday Morning

Sunrise was at 5:45 and the temperature was 50 degrees when I started walking. The sky was overcast and it started to rain very lightly. By the time I got home the clouds were gone and the sun was shining brightly.

I walked to the park, along both paths, over Pratt Bridge to the black fence, turned around and walked back home again.
Walking under the canopy of trees along the paths kept me from getting wet since the rain was so light. You can barely see the black fence where I turn around now because there are so many vines growing on it. One of the vines is honeysuckle. You can see a bit of the fence down in the left hand corner.

I saw Kim & Katie, Nicki, Beverley, and Julie. Another woman was walking holding a long weight bar and swinging it back and forth in front of her. I have seen people walking with weights in each hand before but never swinging a bar before.

I walked 6.2 miles and didn't find any money.

Yesterday in DC, I walked an additional 8 miles!

It was a warm one this morning with a temperature of 64 degrees and the sun rose at 5:45. It is supposed to rain and although it looked like it would rain it didn't while I was walking.

I walked over the Bollman Truss Bridge and up Gorman, turned in by the apartments, walked around there and then back to Gorman. Walked up the hill and turned into the street just before Skylark. Walked around that neighborhood and then back home.

I was walking up the road and heard a horn toot. It was our friend Kerry. He was waiting his turn at the stop sign on his way to work. I saw Videa out walking as well as 2 dog walkers and 3 runners.

As I walked around by the apartments I spotted this white cat looking out of the window.

I walked 5.6 miles and found 1 nickel and 2 pennies.

The temperature was a nice 54 degrees this morning and sunrise was at 5:46.

I walked a little earlier than usual this morning and had a shorter than usual walk. I had to get home because we are taking the train into DC today to watch the parade. We will leave early and walk around some there too.

I just walked 4.2 miles around town and it was pretty early and very quiet. I only saw 1 other walker. Walking back toward home I saw Nola and walked a couple of blocks with her.

I am going to wear my pedometer today walking around Washington so I will be adding to my miles.

I found 5 pennies this morning.

5:46 was the sunrise this morning and the temperature was 50 degrees when I started walking. Once again the sun was shining brightly in a picture perfect blue sky.

I walked the long way to the post office and then up to the park. I saw Ann at the park and 2 dog walkers along the first path. Crossing over to the second path I saw a man fishing sitting on the rocks down by the river. Along the second path I saw 1 runner and 1 walker. Walked to Pratt Bridge and stopped to look down at the water. Then I walked up the path to the street and got on the path that leads to the Kings Contrivance Shopping center. Along that path I saw 4 runners, 2 dog walkers, and 2 walkers. When I got to the shopping center Kenny was there to pick me up. It's nice once in a while when he picks me up so I can just walk one way so I don't have to turn around and walk the same way back.

Walking along the second path I saw the Heron - it's been awhile since I saw him. Along the third path I saw a deer and at least 6 bunnies.
This bird was on the edge of a little pond. I'm not sure what kind it is but I looked in my book and I think it might be some kind of a Bittern. The size and shape was right but the colors weren't quite right.

I thought this reflection was pretty and I'm now using it as my desk top picture. The picture of the bird was along the edge of the water at this pond.

One more of the can you find the animal pictures. This one has a bunny in it.

I walked 6.5 miles and found 1 penny.

Sunrise was at 5:47 and it was 50 degrees. Another great walking morning - sunny and a bright blue sky.

I walked up to the park and along both paths, over Pratt Bridge, to the black fence where I turned around and headed back home. I didn't go down the path to the park when I got to the school but walked home along the road.

I saw Ann, Judy, 1 dog walker, 2 walkers, 2 bike riders, and 8 runners. There were a couple of yard sales going on, a woman planting purple petunias in her front yard and a couple people sitting on their porches drinking coffee. Such a nice morning!!

This morning sunrise was at 5:48 and when I started walking it was only 48 degrees. The sun was already up and shining brightly in a pretty blue sky.

I walked my usual and favorite walk to the park, along both paths over Pratt Bridge to the black fence, turned around and walked back home.

I saw Linda, Kim & Katie, Lorrie & her friend with their dogs, and 3 bike riders, 2 dog walkers, 2 runners, and 1 walker. The kids were out today in the school field playing soccer for Gym class.

I walked 6.3 miles and I found 1 penny. The penny I found on the path in the woods - I think that's a first.

I heard the woodpecker but didn't see him and I saw two cardinals fighting.
